Koh Chang Car Hire

Koh Chang is a large island and to be fully explored you will need to hire a car or rent a scooter. Some of the more scenic parts of the island, especially those on the east coast, are more easily accessible if you have your own transport.

All of our vehicles air conditioned, clean and suitable for exploring Koh Chang's beautiful countryside. All vehicles are regularly serviced by authorized dealers and are always checked again by our staff before any hire period.

We offer a wide range of vehicles from Pick Ups, SUV's, 4x4's, Jeeps and Saloon Cars. All of our cars are clean and in the best possible condition to ensure your safety when driving.

Car Hire Rates

All Car Rental Services are offered at competitive rates and further discounts are available for extended hire periods, longer than 7 days. A free delivery and pick up service to and from your resort is also available with all Car Hire.

Seating:

• Cars can seat 4 people.
• Pick Up / 4x4 can seat 5 People.
• SUV's can seat 5 People.
• Jeeps can seat 2 adult and 2 smaller people.

Scooter Rental

We also have a number of scooters available for rent. Most people opt to rent a 100cc or 125cc scooter. If there are two of you on one bike we suggest a 125cc.

The Honda Click, Yamaha Fino & Mio are very popular scooters. They are low to the ground, have no clutch and are easy to ride.

They are prefect for getting from a to b and nipping through the traffic. Helmets are supplied with all bikes. It is against Thai law to ride a bike without a helmet.

Please Note:

In order to rent a car or motorcycle on you will need a valid passport and/or driver's license. You should ensure that you read your rental agreement carefully and make sure that you keep a copy with you at all times.

Insurance is included with all cars and pick ups but not with motor cycles or scooters. All rental contracts are for a minimum 24 hour period.

!!! Safety on Koh Chang !!!

Some words of warning - You should take great care on the roads on Koh Chang. Not only is there an extreme disregard for traffic regulations, which leads to unexpected and dangerous behaviour.

During the rainy season bike riders often come to grief when damp roads become very slippery. The Road on Koh Chang has numerous hairpin turns, some high up on the cliffs where you do not want to make a mistake.

There are some very steep hills in some sections of Koh Chang. Particularly bad stretches of road are located between Klong Son and White Sand Beach and also between Kai Bae and Lonely Beach.
